biography

biog
I'm a Birmingham based animatior/filmmaker working with Ian Ravenscroft & Tom Reid as, Dice Productions. My skills lie in 2D character animation, direction and editing. My screenwriting style emphasises comic narrative structure and characterisation.

Having graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2008 we’ve quickly took on commissions and work from people, including, Warner Entertainment, The Brothers McLeod and L.A. based filmmaker, William Rot. In an effort to ultimately get our work commissioned for TV we are now also focusing our efforts on writing live action comedy. We are also part of the YouTube Partners scheme having gained nearly 1 million views from our content.

I am also a recent co-founder of Film Forum West Midlands. An initiative to bring together budding filmmakers.

ambitions
Goals for the development of Dice Productions is to branch out further into live action, including short films and commissioned content for internet and television. We'd like to direct larger scale work in the future, but television is the ideal format for us at the moment.
project in development
At the moment I'm expanding on my graduation film, which I think will be quite special when it's finished. Dice Productions are also working on several scripts and mini-series commission for MySpace Comedy provider, ComedyBox
influences, inspirations and favourite films
Ghostbusters is a deeply entrenched scare on my brain - it fulfils it's genre and provides so much more. Ummm... I hate this bit... Lots of stuff... drunks, bus people, deeply embedded 'figures of speech' that seemingly don't make any sense but people laugh at you when you say them wrong. They've lost all meaning! I'm just interpreting them!... gone off the road a bit there.
