biog BAFTA nominated director John Walsh, founded Walsh Bros Ltd with brother David after graduating from the London Film School with an M.A. Productions range from television series and dramas for BBC, Channel 4, five and feature film production. Productions have varied from documentaries on Oscar-winning special effects legend Ray Harryhausen, alternative comedy, gap year adventures to feature film drama with the major period feature film “Monarch” starring TP McKenna as King Henry VIII.
BBC2 primetime documentary series “Headhunting the Homeless”, received both a BAFTA and Grierson Awards nominations.
As Vice Chair of the Directors Guild of Great Britain, John organises kick-start events for new and emerging film makers as well as the Lifetime Achievement Awards for both Sir Alan Parker (1998) and Stanley Kubrick (1999)
Currently in production with series two of BAFTA nominated “Don’t Make Me Angry” for Channel Four, TV’s first anger management programme. And a feature film drama based on British prison life in the 1970s for Working Title.
