biography

biog
I am an animator film maker and have had 3 of my computer animations show at the Edinburgh film festival among other places. My academic achievements include a BA hons in Electronic Media and Masters in Digital Media at the University of Wolverhampton. I have also completed a training course in Radio production and presenting which led to an arts based radio show with a college that spanned 10 shows.
ambitions
Obviously the normals answer which is I would like to direct and write my own feature but on a more earthed point of view an opertunity to gain more exprience working on creative film and television and learn all aspects of the process from concept to production.
project in development
Obviously the normal answer which is I would like to direct and write my own films. From a more earthed point of view I would like an opportunity to gain more experience working in the creative film and television industry. The whole creation process interests me from concept to production and an opportunity to learn more about this process and be part of a hard working team would be ideal.

Maybe after I learnt how the whole process works I could look to creating my own project but until then being part of someone else’s brain child would be great.
influences, inspirations and favourite films
Working a great deal in computer animation I am obviously influenced be the work of Pixar and Hayao Miyazaki creator of Spirited Away, both brilliantly skilled in the art of story telling. Other inspirations are the work of Stephen Chow and Tim Burton.

Asian cinema offers a different perspective of the art of film making so I find myself drawing a lot from the style and variety that can be found from this pool of creativity.

When it comes to my favourite films I wouldn't know where to start. To name a few, Kung Fu Hustle, Castle in the Sky, Shaun of the Dead, Buba Ho Tep, The Iron Giant the list is endless to be honest. A desert island film would have to be Tremors, no matter how many times I watch that film I neither get bored of it.
