biog Half English and half Italian, Francesco was born in England but raised until early teens in Italy. In England he became interested in "visual media" and the potential of telling a story for the screen. By age 16 he was shooting videos and experimenting with visuals, his first commission age 18 was a wedding. Around 2003-04 Francesco volunteered with various video and theatre production companies on a weekly basis, through 2005 he kept making many experimental fiction shorts and also obtained several video commissions; to this date he continuously shoots fashion shows, documentaries etc. Following two short film/video courses he decided to progress and search for professional work. In 2006 he obtained work experience at the local "Central News" studios, this was followed by his first job as a runner on a short film set in Oxford, and more recently he took on the roles of runner and trainee assistant director on Philip Pullman's Oxford set feature film "The Butterfly Tattoo". Currently (2008-09) Francesco is training and improving his skills as an assistant director and director at the Bournemouuth Screen Academy on the Film Production BA course.
