synopsis
Cheese Makes You Dream is a day in the life of Jim O’Connor – an acutely lonely pensioner with high hopes and a subscription to a Golden Oldie dating service.
short fact
Cheese Makes You Dream, the short film, is loosely inspired by a BBC Radio 4 play called The Sanctuary / Cheese Makes You Dream (also written by Kara Miller, broadcast in 1999) which starred Timothy Spall as a very different Jim (aged 40, happily married and with a rather unseemly fascination for blondes).

Really good. Presents the question 'who can you trust?' The gruesome plot point flies in the face of the perceived innocense of an older person. Would've liked it to be longer. Nice to see familiar faces in a short.

I liked this film. I didn't expect what i saw given the title but there was an interesting, if dark, story and both actors are very believable in their roles. I also liked the lighting in this film.

Dark but hilarious. I'm very impressed at Tamsin Greig's part but, being a total Green Wing nut, I am biased.

It's always interesting to be surprised. But sometimes the surprise is a letdown. I felt this with 'Cheese Makes You Dream'. The darkness of the action seemed somehow incongruous with the setup. And for me just did not work.
