synopsis
After months of threats and years of alleged physical abuse, a terrified mother phones the police operator whilst hiding for her life in a cupboard of her house.

She describes to the police operator how her husband is drawing closer to her.

Then the line goes dead.
short fact
"I made this film because I wanted to the show the family behind the headlines rather than sensationalising the story as the newspapers previously had."

Top notch, chilling short. It shows how a simple idea can have a great impact.

My last comment-
I just got an image in my mind of the last shot being someone casually striding into the shop of a petrol station, pausing, and flippantly picking up a newspaper by the door before wandering in

I wish I'd read your objective in the "Short Fact" box. I see what you were aiming for now. My point still remains though, that the concept of them being a 'headline' wasn't conveyed in the story.
I think it would've totally changed the film, I think for the better, if -perhaps the first shot (before title)- contained some lines of a text column from a tabloid, on the side of the image. Just any sort placement as in a newspaper, or just glimpses of myserious text..

Well.. Very very good voice acting. That really made it the standard it is.. Clearly very interesting way of doing this almost 'life flashing before your eyes' montage.. The whole thing was very engrossing and immersive.. but as intense and gripping as it was, even evocative, it left me quite without much to think about. Why did you want to make this?

I am on the same film course as Rob.

And i can honestly say that I was gutted when he showed me this film.

I realised I was going to have to step up if I am going to make it in this business!
