synopsis
2Pay Shaker is a thirtysomething going through a midlife crisis. The Badass Cowboys' gentle country tune acts as a voice for the trials and tribulations he suffers at the mercy of his ever decreasing hairline.
short fact
"This is our first attempt at a music video and also our first attempt at anything longer than 30 seconds.

We quickly found out the limitations of minifigs – for example, it is not physically possible for them to strum guitars. However, with some clever camera angles, some of these limitations can be overcome, and, in some respects, have made the overall video more creative.

The biggest lessons we learned producing this video were to make the storyboards as detailed as possible before starting the animation, not forgetting all the work on backgrounds, faces, wigs, and clothing; and finally, don’t have too many extras (the nightclub scene took far too long to animate!)."

This poor chaps having a bad hair life. Anyway great music, very catchy and once being a Lego fan in my earlier days I can see you got the detail perfect. Keep up the good work.

Really liked the music. Thank you. BUT video, sorry rubbish. A lone cowboy riding across the Montana Plains is what I would have enjoyed.

Thanks for your comments; stop motion would have looked cool but it does have some drawbacks. Firstly you need loads of LEGO, secondly, the clothing (and the syrups) would not have been possible without modification (this is regarded as sacrilegious by some), and thirdly the lip-syncing would have required a sizeable element of post production CGI work.

really nice - but wouldn't it have been even cooler to use real Lego pieces and stop motion animation?
