synopsis
Non-Fat is a hard-hitting short that explores the cult of slimness, the perils of too much customer choice, and the clash of coffee cultures.
short fact
Two treatments were entered for this short; the first was to give the entire budget to a couple of brave souls to throw a car engine through the front window of Starbucks and run. Unfortunately the commissioners went for the second one.

This was funny... to the point of the slapstick bottle over the head.
Then it was just severe violence against a woman.
Pathetic.

I first saw this film in a Future Shorts programme at the Curzon Soho a few years ago. It's so funny and powerful that most of the audience were still laughing throughout most of the next film!

Love it. Fantastic!

I work in a coffee shop, and quite frankly, I was rolling on the floor with laughter! Every barista (coffee server) has that one customer who makes your eyes cross and your temperature rise. I appreciated the humor inherent in the short -- and while the violence may seem extreme to some -- I recognize that this short merely materialized the thoughts that many of us in the service industry have at one point or another.

Thanks for the belly laugh!
