synopsis
Nervous and unsure, two bank robbers contemplating the risk of bank robbery, sit waiting in a car opposite the bank for dawn to approach and the security van to arrive.

Lost in snatches of fond memory and chilling moments of recollection, each one is instinctively aware that the outcome of the event will be fatal.

short fact
Do Armed Robbers Have Love Affairs? is a strong character based film that challenges the traditional thriller genre. It tackles themes of paranoia, fatalism and love in a interesting narrative structure.

This amazing short has blown me away... The dark gritty urban feel achieved gives a realistic setting for an overall sad story. The cuts between the robbery gone wrong and the robbery about to happen are well placed and in my view perfectly shot. Also the insight to the one robbers love life makes this story more of a tradgedy of sorts.Even though you know what they are doing is wrong,I found myself wanting them to win.The end seqence was in my view a master piece of work, with the combination of the music score and slow motion work. This short has become a fast favorite for me and i wished it was longer.Good acting, directing, camera work and production is in evidence here.Id give this short an award any time.... well done guys, I hope my work reaches your standard some day

Excellent!!
I love Northern Irish films, this film was full of suspense and it got me to the edge of my chair watching it. I wish there was a longer version of it because it was so good. Very well done.

******contains SPOILER*****************

shot very beautifully, captures the 'off the job' life of the robbers very well. Nice lighting and atmosphere with very good score I think. I didnt quite follow the suicide at teh end but it may be because I watched it small, which makes it harder to understand the full storyline.
