synopsis
For Peter life is simply an act of going through the motions. He keeps an ad on the fridge door as a futile reminder of an age-old ambition, practically forgotten. For Rachel, the loss of someone close continues to adumbrate her life. With the rediscovery of a long-lost childhood dream, some inadvertent assistance from each other (and a bit of Curtis Mayfield) they soon realize the true meaning of self-help.
short fact
I made this film because the subject, mental health and depression, is very close to my heart. I wanted to make something that showed people (especially those who could relate to its topic) that we, not necessarily the so-called guru, possess the real means to self help.

Making the film became quite difficult at times as it seemed everything that could go wrong went wrong. But everyone pulled together to finish the project under-budget and even a few seconds ahead of schedule.

We raised money largely from family and friends and donations from individuals moved by the subject and story. We had several corporate sponsors who lent us their equipment either for free or at cost-covering prices.

genuine and charming i thought. really not pretentious, and just very easy to relate to. don't think the format was really taken advantage of though was it?

Great! I really enjoyed this and felt quite uplifted by it, the idea of moments of happiness, pockets where things come together and make sense. The guy's voice was impressive too. Thanks

Very nicely shot, but also quite incredibly dull; like a nice idea for a 30-second advert agonisingly stretched out to 10 minutes.
