synopsis
A live action/animated tale about Kitty and her mother who live on the lonely moors. Kitty is a girl on the brink of adulthood; plagued by the distant memory of her vacant father, the gift from him of a special Chihuahua, and where he put it.

The animals that surround their home are growing restless. Her strange and religious relationship with these animals takes on a disturbing dimension when she decides to confront her disbelieving mother.
short fact
This film was never supposed to be this weird. Time restraints on the edit meant that one whole scene had to be cut to get it under the 10-minute mark. This was one of the regulations Film London – the funders – placed on the project. The lost scene explains a lot more than is on screen in the final cut. But then that’s what happens with filmmaking; things happen that you don’t plan for and the film suddenly becomes it’s own.

Weird stuff! Not quite sure what it all means, but thought that the religious stuff was very clever. Loved the animation. Great sly humour, too.

The 'stylistic' elements are powerful - the atmosphere, music, shots all work together really well. The story however didnt really grab me.
