synopsis
Two policeman, one veteran and one rookie, go out on the beat on a Saturday night. They encounter a man determined to have a good time by whatever means. Small time and irritating, he's thrown back - but like the proverbial bad penny, he keeps turning up. Is there something more sinister than drugs on the street?

I loved this. Good shorts don't always have to be about gritty social issues dripping with drama. Sometimes they can be a laugh too, and that's what this is - a damn good laugh! I'm afraid I didn't pick up on the social commentary bit, I was too busy laughing.

Well done all involved. (My favourite bit: 'mind your head' THUD! 'sorry' - you can't beat a bit of slapstick.)

Very funny, good social commentary and an accurate portrait of a town centre at night ;o) Quality perfomances all round from the dead pan cops to the intoxicated bloke - and the hallucinations at the end are worth the price of admission! Nice work.

Hello. i'm the bloke who wrote it and firstly want to say that i love the fact that something i did is on the BBC site. Secondly, though, I'd like to reply to the comment about the 'language' at the end being unnecessary. I understand that you might dislike so-called 'swear words' but since they exist I believe the very modest use was very necessary in the context. Partly because it's real but also because in a 5 minute short you don't have time to set up a world in which everyone says 'flip'. When I say i wrote it, I mean that i was 'the writer' - and actually if memory serves me correctly, that bit was added by the director - Jon Sen - and I think he got it dead right.

Very funny and some really creative ideas happening in this film. Love the social commentary (its just as valid over here in North Amercian as well--other than he'd be handcuffed) and clever, but not heavy handed editing.

Not a bad film, pity about the language at the end. Not necessary.
