synopsis
In this short, animated film we find the 20th Century's most devious, yet adorable German, (Kaiser Wilhelm II) taking it upon himself to introduce a family of no-nonsense, stiff-upper-lipped Brits to a new potato-based taste sensation that's taken mainland Europe by storm!

This comic parody makes no apologies for the abundance of historical inaccuracies in the telling of this short but savoury tale.
short fact
"I made this film while studying 3D animation at university in Swansea.

I’d like to use the word satire but, in regards to this sentence and due to my poor grasp of the English language, I’m not exactly 100% sure of the context I should be using it in... but I’m convinced it should be in there somewhere.

Basically, I just hoped this piece would act as a playful form of escapism that would entertain and endure in the mind of the audience. It was also a darn sight more fun to produce than some half-baked arthouse piece about evil corporations killing fluffy bunnies... now that I think about it, maybe that could have been quite entertaining as well. Ah well, there’s always next time."

Liked it ... very much! Was alarmed by one line of dialogue though, and thought it unnecessary ("done in the kitchen!?"...)

short, snappy, witty and well done 3d. less is sometimes a lot more - well rounded script and characterisation - well worth a 1 minute fly through!
