synopsis
A chirpy door-to-door salesman sells his sponges and all the magical qualities they hold to an unamused housewife. A magician's assistant demonstrates their power to perform amazing feats such as transforming an old car into a Mercedes, catching big-game fish and winning at the casino. Everything a housewife could ever wish for!

This was shot with friend over one weekend in August 2006. The criteria set was to create, write, cast, film, edit and be received finished by Smoke & Mirrors within a 48-hour period.

    Nice work in 48 hrs... typical salesman in your face... the sponge cleaning shoes was funny.

    I must admit i thought the idea was very novel, yes it could of been more slick, i look forward to the next one, but give yourselves 96hrs!

    For 48 hours I'm impressed, but the comedy could have been sharper. The salesman's pitch is constantly broken by pauses that don't make it flow. The Welsh accent certainly gave it humour, but he needed to be more 'in your face'. I would have shut the door within a second.

    All done in 48 hours? That's a good job. Didn't find it particularly funny but it's been raining all day so I'm probably not in the mood.
