I couoldn't hear anything the protagonist was saying, it was really frustrating with his daughter- "your mother waited up for you"? as in she waited for their daughter to get home? It creates a lot of brooding atmosphere.. and in all his subtlety, the guy is interesting. I just feel a bit unsure if I interpreted the film as intended. I spose the main plot question is whether literally the dad saw his daughter having sex in the car (she didn't seem very startled to see him emerge in the kitchen!) beautiful, dreamy and intimate. No strong messages or purposes to it though, that I can see..
