synopsis
In a sleepy launderette, Ben is driven to distraction by a host of unusual characters – a nagging attendant, an eerily synchronised couple, a jibbering mess of a man, and two rowdy kids firing water pistols. When The Boss’ laundry is returned minus one of his lucky socks, Ben is forced into a tumble dryer to find it. There he finds a nightclub where all the odd socks go. He spots the lucky sock on the dancefloor, dances with it, before yanking it away and back to the laundrette. The Boss, delighted, returns Ben’s washing, freshly washed and folded. Ben leaves the launderette, bemused.
short fact
"I was trying to let the music dictate the narrative - each character (except the protagonist) represents a different musical element of the track, so the music dictates their appearances and behaviour and therefore the narrative.

I also wanted to make people dance around with socks on their hands."

    Wow Joe,

Great imagination. 'Zero dB' is a highly original piece of film work.

Love the rhythm of the tumble dryer & the sock disco.

    Amazing.

    Take care,

    John (NBS)

I thought you followed the beats rather than the energy and rythm, but hey it's qulity and I liked it just trying to give my honest initial reaction, mind you I am a misician so excuse any anal-ness.

    Hi Das,

Sorry that you've encountered these problems.

In our site help, there is a section called 'problems watching films' that provides information that may help you resolve the problems that you're experiencing with streaming content on our site - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/filmnetwork/SiteHelpFilmPages#problems

We generally ask users to email us with any technical problems that they encounter as otherwise we risk the comments sections on films becoming about techinical support rather than about feedback for the filmmaker. So if you have any further issues, please do not respond here. Instead you can email us by clicking on any of the 'alert the editors' links across the site.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    The Film Network team
