London To Brighton
Watch a scene from Paul Andrew Williams' thriller.

If you can imagine Mike Leigh shooting a thriller set in the seedy underworld of London, you're part-way towards conjuring up Paul Andrew Williams' directorial debut. London To Brighton is a low budget gem that The Times called "a supremely confident piece of storytelling". Debut writer/director Williams received the Skillset New Directors Award for his efforts at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, while the film also received the Best Achievement In Production award at this year's BIFAs.

London To Brighton was inspired by a short Williams made in 2001 called Royalty, and the shooting budget for the feature wasn't much more than that of some shorts. Once more it proves that well-drawn and believable characters placed within a taut storyline will always be priceless, no matter what the budget. The impeccable cast includes Lorraine Stanley, Johnny Harris, and teen newcomer Georgia Groome.

In the video Paul talks about his journey to get the film made, while two of his producers, Alastair Clark and Rachel Robey, discuss why London To Brighton will put the director on the map.

London To Brighton is released in UK cinemas on Friday 1st December 2006.
