Seven-year-old James has nits and wants his mum to check his head, but his mum has other things on her mind.

synopsis
James has nits. But for a seven-year-old, there are some things even more worrying than hair lice. When his parents return from the hospital James learns that grown-ups can sort out the nits, but there are some things they can’t explain so easily.

    Great filming of the boy. I think the ice cream van story was appropiate.

    Fascinated by this subject matter. Child POV is where I'm at at the moment (see my profile for info)

    Anyway, I love this short. but i think he's too oblivious to grown ups issues, whiuch unfortunately i think is so common in portrayal of kids in cinema. also i felt while beautifully depicted and generally stunningly acted, themes were a little pretentiously/loosely expressed in quite overly ambiguous scenes. i think just some of the points in this are a little shrouded in unclear scenes.. just the purpose of them kindof confused me and diluted the connection i had at points.. the lost ladybird felt a bit like a pointless metaphor for the lost baby
