synopsis
Four friends set out into the unknown to find music one of them had heard a long time ago.
short fact
The brief was to create a film to reflect The Knife's last album, Silent Shout, which was quite alot darker than Deep Cuts, their previous one.

TV addiction was a theme in the album and something that interests me alot anyway. Living life inside boxes, through more boxes, and screens, experiencing a scripted view of the world.

So it's about trying to escape that, expanding their reality to see if there's anything more real on the outside. Rabbit, was actually bought from the butchers and scanned into my computer, which was pretty minging, particularly being a veggie, but I wanted the detail of the squashed texture of the fur, to give the impression of being only half alive. The others were photographed from stuffed animals.

It's a continuation of the first film they released with the Deep cuts album.

Pretty wild stuff! Unusual, for sure, but I found that I didn't want to stop watching at any point. I think the techniques served the story pretty well, added to the unsettled feeling in the Knife's music. Artful and potent.
