scenes that some may find disturbing
synopsis
A selection of 1950s educational stickers, found in a provincial junkshop twenty years ago, provide the ingredients for this adult fairytale. When a boy and girl find an idol in the stomach of a rabbit, its magical abilities lead to riches, but for how long?
A modern mystery film of lost innocence, greed and nature

This film was chosen to be part of the BBC Summer of British Film (shorts): Horror season. Watch more SOBF: Horror shorts on film network.
short fact
I love the look of the stickers and was excited by the prospect of creating a story from the finite selection of images. Biggest challenge was creating the movement of the protagonists from such a limited source.

    Creepy but with a moral.

    Hi there,
Thanks for letting us know about the problems you experienced watching this short. We have looked into it and there was something awry with the windows media version however that is now fixed so feel free to try again!

We generally ask users to email us with any technical problems that they encounter as otherwise we risk the comments sections on films becoming about techinical support rather than about feedback for the filmmaker.

Also it means we can find out about a problem and resolve much quicker.

So if you have any further issues, please do not respond here. Instead you can email us by clicking on any of the 'alert the editors' links across the site.

    We hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    The Film Network team

After so many (unsuccessful) attempts to play this video, I gave up hope... until I came across it on another website. A very nostalgic, bizarre and somewhat disturbing animation. Well done.

What an imaginative and macabre way to present a fairytale. I just thought it was amazing. Storyline could have been lifted straight out of a James Herbert book ! Brilliant work guys !!
