...the powers that be at 3CR could possibly think that the residents of Aylesbury would be anymore interested in the royal vist to MK than those in Luton? Why did we have to miss the consumer programme for such boring drivel? If Her Maj. was visiting Aylesbury would people in MK care?

Spitting feathers!! <steam><steam>

Mysty, it's because the transmitters for 94.7 and 104.5 are linked and can only transmit the same programme. It is being changed in the New Year so that Bucks excluding MK will rejoin mainstream 3CR.

Al, thank you for that excellent bit of news, the new year won't be here quick enough.
By the way, how do you know this?

Mysty, I wrote to Mark Norman regarding the MK breakfast and thats what he told me, the proceedures to effect the change are underway but he didn't think it would happen until mid January.

Hmm, sounds a bit vague, did he say which year?

Strange as it may seem, and it is most unusual, but he did specify next January

I heard most of the live coverage of HM The Queens visit to Milton Keynes,on BBC 3cr and I must say that Luke and Helen did a very good job.
It is the first time on BBC 3cr in a long time I heard presenters, with some local pride and who spoke with passion, not only about the visit but Milton Keynes as a place.
Yes there were some odd mistakes but that goes with a live broadcast, but after listening to Luke and Helen they are head and shoulders, above what we in Bedfordshire have to listen to every morning between 6-9am.

Surely your very own Mr Skues would have done a better job.
The BIG Question is.
Are you an 'insider' or someone with a grudge ...... against yourself?

Mysty, it changed at 11.00 am today, 3 months late, but better than never (I think), at least it was before the boards closed to finish this thread. <ok>
