Come on Dave wiggle me out of this bit of non conformity. And don't tell me it isn't a need to smoke and drink. I know a lot of high profile people who have these vices.

Pom being educated by Shropshire Radio this morning. It is illegal to sell an 18 year old and under alcohol and cigarettes but 18 year old and unders can legally drink and smoke.

Pom, a sixteen year old can buy cigarettes.
Under 18 year olds can drink at home and with a meal in hotel, but cannot buy alcohol themselves.
There is talk of making smoking not legal till your 18, but as most seem to start at 12ish, i think more enforcement is the answer, not a change in the law.

As from midnight it became illegal for under 18s to buy cigarettes Pom. Not sure how you would be charged for buying for an underage person...<erm>

I wonder if our under 18 year old's have as much contempt for the law that 57 year old Pom and her 27 year old (looks 17) duaghter does?
