Message 1 - posted by LeicesterHost_Kat, Jul 17, 2007 Presenters Rupal Rajani and Charlie Dagnall and reporter Bridget Blair are going to try and lose weight for the summer. Their progress is going to be followed on BBC Radio Leicester and you can read their online diaries and see how they're getting on here: www.bbc.co.uk/leices...Have you got any good healthy eating/exercise tips for Daggers, Rupal and Bridget? Or have you got a message of encouragement? Let them know here... |

Message 2 - posted by LeicesterHost_Kat, Jul 17, 2007 Message from Pete, emailed to Rupal and Bridget:
Now then the pair of you I'm sure that if I can lose just over 3 stones you can. All I did was cut out the alcohol in the week (still enjoyed my pint or 2 or 3 or 5 on Saturday and Sunday) cut out any "afters" with my lunch and dinner and went for a mile swim 4/5 times a week. I have since cut the swimming down to twice a week but I now go to the gym twice a week as well. I have started to have the odd pint in the week again (as you know I do enjoy a drop of beer now and again) and still enjoy my curry's twice a week along with a not too health related diet, but with the exercise that I am doing my weight is remaining constant so if I can do it at 68 so can the pair of you.
Pete. Xx
Ps. I also have a back problem so no excuses along those lines.
Pps. Leicester City have two bad backs and their not complaining. |

Message 3 - posted by Not_such_an_avid_reader, Jul 17, 2007 I seem to survive on the lettuce leaves etc., that Mrs and the two Misses Ernest also eat. I sit here in my sunroom (currently Total Eclipse Room)and can hear them discussing how they are going to lose weight!! Is there no end in sight. While I wish BBC Radio Leicester Presenters all the best, I would love to have just one week when 'we' are not on a diet of some kind. What gets me is that I don't seem to fade away either. Keep smiling Ernest003 |

Message 4 - posted by supermarrowman, Jul 18, 2007 My tip is to wear a black bin liner.Cut a hole in for your head and two holes for your arms.Wear this next to your skin then put a tee shirt over it and go for a run or walk, you sweat lots of water but the heat burns the fat at a tremendous pace. You will lose 6lbs every time you walk and wear this.SMM 650. |

Message 6 - posted by Mark.....Ibstock, Jul 18, 2007 I say they should all invest in a dog and go walking in the countryside. They may get attacked by bulls and killed by electric fences but hey ho! Lovely tip there SMM650. I am just off up the Co-Op for some bin liners Mark013(Lined in bags) BBB(C) Rupal Rules |
