23? Not exactly a boy are you?

...and you claim you're not gay with a name like that!

i'm 23, there's no need to sound bitter of us younguns :)

This posting has been hidden during moderation because it broke the House Rules in some way.

I thik you need to learn the rules then, using urinal says "come and have a look" - I dont like it either, why do you think there is always a que for the cubicals ? Not just people having a quicky.

Your young, some men go for that, ask any young girl if they are approched by older men when they are out and about. Even outside work my young assistant gets men shouting at her, horns blasting, people staring and drooling. Its nothing to do with sexuality, its just men being men!

If you get people flaunting with you be flattered that someone finds you attractive. Not offended. Say no, shove them off. The gay scene is a meat market anyway but its no different to the straight meat market. Were just more upfront in what we want as there is not this silly little game the straights play for the same result.

I used to get my bum pinched by women all the time didnt offend me, just made it clear i wasnt intrested and they left me alone, same with the men that didnt intrest me. I used to feel flattered that they did becuase i just ment to me that i wouldnt end up single for the rest of my life.

Were not all sex crazed, sex starved single men you know.

but gay men have a greater propensity for this.

If a young fit sexy lad like me walks down canal st i'd be letched all over, whistled at, and someone would try and pinch my bum. If i then go in and sit in a bar with some homo friends, i'll have eyes burning on to me, and i'll have some 45 year old guy stand next to us almost breathing on us whislt we are trying to have a chat. You go to use toilets, and you are pestered.

That sort of stuff just doesnt happen on the straight scene towards women on such a significant scale.

You have a very high opinion of yourself don't you?

Out gay men are not usually the letchy, predatory ones, it's closet cases.
The ones who have girlfriends and claim to be straight yet spend all night trying to come onto you or the creepy old men who just glare at you in shops etc.

really? So are the closted ones with girlfriends the ones who all hit canal street and pester other guys with their lechery? The problem of overly predatory gay men seems to happen in gay bars or nightclubs, or like on pride march. Not really the preserve of closeted married men I would say lmao.

If you're straight (as you claim) why would you want to go in gay bars or on the pride march anyway?

Are you one of these insufferable metrosexuals who spends all night clung to their girlfriend like a limpit? No wonder you get unwelcome attention. You probably get harrassed in the hope you'll leave.

If you go in gay bars, people will assume you're gay and probably try and pick you up.
If you don't like it, don't go in.

Having someone stalk you in shops or glare at you on trains etc. is a different matter. 99% of times it's the closet cases doing that.

well you proved my point. I personally think, that just because someone goes into a gay bar, or walks down canal st, that doesnt mean they have to expect to be harrased, have their bum pinched, whistled at, leched at, and be followed to the toilets, or have someone sit right next to you in a bar almost breathing on you while you are trying to have a conversation with a friend. Just because people go into a gay bar that doesnt mean they should expect any of this. If you are saying people should expect that in a gay bar, then you have proved my point, you have admited that yes, gay men do show a greater propensity to being like this, and that there is a reason why as you said earlier "straight men aways assume we must fancy them or will try it".

in one breath you are saying it is wrong for straight men to always assume that gay men must fancy them or want to try it on with them. Yet in another breath, you are saying, if you dont like being leched at and stalked, you shouldnt go into a gay bar! Do you not see the glaring contradiction there lol.

Not really, if your a straight man in a gay bar and get hit on then whos problem is that ?

Its like saying i was in a lions den and they were looking at me licking their lips.

So whats your point to this anyway ? You want to go to gay bars and not be stared at ? So what if ALL gay men were predatory (which they are not) what has this got to do with "having it easy ?" I wouldnt look at you for one second, doubt i would even notice you in a club/bar becuase your far from my type. I dont go for pretentious chicken.

No problem in that at all. Its part and parceal. My comments were referring to FawkaryTwarx who suggested it is absurd for all straights to assume that gay men would fancy them and try it on. I am simply saying, part of that stereotype and why straight men may perhaps hold that view is partly because of the grater propensity for gay men to be heavyily predatory. I gave an example of this by referencing my experiences of going out round canal street, and being harrassed, ie people following you round when s clear you are not interested. People purposely sitting right next to you to breath heavily on you, then follow you to the toilets. That is *very* diferent from expecting the eyeup and a smile.

Dont worry, the reality is most young fit lads wouldnt notice *you*. Unless the leching gets noticeably invasive. lol

It's all right mentioning these 'enclaves' such as Canal Street and Pride Marches, but in this country in general, how often do you see two men walking down the street hand in hand or showing any affection to each other publicly as hetero couples do? Never? Oh really, I wonder why that is? I wonder what public reaction would be? Three guesses. So let's ask the question again. Do gays have it easy in this country?

No not all men, but yes some do, i lost count the times that people have said to me, "i dont mind gays, just aslong as they dont come on to me" I regard that as self flattery. Im male ergo they fancy me.

They proabbly dont even think for one second about, looks, attraction, conversational skills , sense of humor, etc etc they see you as a unit wanting sex with them, shallow as it may be thats just how it is. Pathetic isnt it.

As opposed to the straight male stereotype anything looks good when i have my beer goggles on ? Men are predatory be straight, gay or BI its his nature and you know it.

A one sided example I may add. If you are comparing between two sexualities then you must look at both of them because looking at the full picture you find that its MEN in general. A good example would be that one of my friends followed and harrased a girl so much at a night club she decked him. Some people dont understand NO! Ever thought that maybe you just attract sleazy dirty people ?

Yes that is wrong. But i do beleive part of it is due to the greater propensity of gay men to be predatory, more so than straight men.

I've just asked all the birds ere at work. The consensus is, when they walk into bars to chat with other work collegues after work, they at the most get starred at a little, and thats it. It would be a very rare one of for someone to start leching over them. Yet in a gay bar, if two work collegues go after work for a beer and a chat, it is not uncommon to find piercing constant stares, someone pulling a chair up right next to you to breath heavily in your space whilst oggling at you, and then for people to follow you to the toilets and attempt to grope you. dispute it or not, but the level of predatary actions are far higher.
