I am supposed to pay to get my prayers answered? That might explain my lack of success! Is there any way to reverse the charges?

Nothing wrong with a punt like that, some people believe Russel Grant and make sure the facts match up to his general speculation

VeryTrue/

You apparently have little or no comprehension of what prayer is about. It is not a matter of getting them answered, it is about communicating with God. A prayer should include expressions of love for God, thanking God, and sometimes asking for help and for intercession on behalf of others. I might add when you ask you don't necessarily get.

Slimtone. Lighten up. It was a joke. Take a look at the spelling of one of the occurences of "prayer" in message 141.

More people loose religion than find it.

Science has caught up with and overtaken old fashion thoughts on a CREATOR. The Universe started, as it will end with a big bang. Never fear the truth, no matter how scary the thought of nothing is.

By nature, men are nearly alike; by practice, they get to be wide apart.

The chances of everything coming together, mankind, animals, plants, the lot, at random following the big bang, has been compared to putting a chimp in front of a typewriter and, by random typing, to come up with the complete works of Shakespeare!

Fact states the big bang happened we can see the tremors from the event but no evidence of god exists.

Small man Nonemoreblack keep doing as you are told and follow a stories in the bible because when you are dead it will be too late to have regret.

Nothing awaits you lost sheep. But be happy in your ignorance.

Until you can see with your own eyes you can never state you know anything.

what evidence exists about the big bang happening? i am not convinced about evolution and i believe in the creation theory but not in 7 days' as we understand but 7 era's. as a christian i have respect for what is written in the bible but i can think for myself.

if you look around the world with all its beauty i don't think it came together in a big bang.

But your willing to accept one story whole heartedly, but not another, why is that ?

Any discussion on the existence or otherwise of a supreme creative being has to have the premiss that science is not qualified to come down on one side or the other. Science's job is to explain the how. Spirituality's job is to explain the why. But it's probably worth exploring whether our lives have any meaning or not. If we're simply a cosmic accident then clearly they haven't.

Look for a thing until you find it and you'll not lose your labor.

If you want a teacher minnie3 I would try looking in a centre of learning. It is for you to show me God if you wish to refute my comments.

Here is just one clue to help you in your quest.

The universe is expanding and did start at a single point.

I would much prefer the story of God to be true, the human race has certainly mastered the art of being selfish and for thousands of years refused to accept the universe did not revolve around us, until science showed us the truth.

We evolved with luck nothing more nothing less.

alex because i have found great happiness in my christian life and seen God move in peoples' lives and his ways make sense.

i think science and christianity do tie up but i don't believe in the big bang and i resent the way it is taught as though it is proven beyond all doubt.

i think we all have our own views and may have to agree to differ. but this post is about prayer and i am stating there are many positive things about christianity and it gets a bad press.

I know your not :)

I just don't see how anyone can just accept something in its entirety and dismiss other possibilities.
