Ernest says that the early morning East Midlands programme, fronted by Dylan Roys, is one of the best programmes on the Radio. Why only an hour for the East Midlands, I ask? Should he not front the show for the whole two hours from 5 to 7 a.m. for all of the East Midlands
AND THEN, PERHAPS, I CAN HAVE A DECENT NIGHTS SLEEP and not get up until 6 a.m!<whistle>

No Problem Mike. I was up late and didn't have time to do the working out when I sent the maths answer. Dylan is a hard taskmaster. <grr> I don't reckon they'll ever be a picture of him coming through our letter box. The girls in the house can't wait as well. <yikes>

Ernest, having received his picture I am happy to report that if one ever did drop through your door the girls would probably be most dissappointed<laugh> I'm sure they are better off just looking at you mate<ok>

Thanks, Ramslad (and where is Borrowash), but have you seen my picture on Tet's fans' page? You can then, perhaps, see why they would even prefer Dylan's picture then!!:(
I wouldn't say I'm ugly, but Les Dawson took my picture down once and put his Mother-in-Law's picture up instead.<laugh><laugh> <steam>

Avid,

Borrowash is about 7 miles out of Derby City centre, just off the A 52 towards Nottingham.

Yes I've seen your picture on Tet's site, the red suit and white whiskers suit you prefectly<biggrin>

My dear Ernest - what can I say? Some people have taste and some people...er... don't ;0)

Having received on of these covetted photographs myself, I think Dylan's a very handsome chap indeed..and his voice isn't half bad either!!

:0)

Dear Amphibious. What can I say...
I am full of admiration for anyone who gives Dylan Roys any form of praise.
I presume you didn't decide to throw darts at his photo then? (I can't get the smileys to work so please accept that I am winking)
If they don't take Big Brother off the air in the future, I nominate Dylan, for his voice alone, to participate in the next series.

Ernest,

Can you imagine the commentary if Dylan went into Big Brother<erm>

"Day 3 in the Big Brother house, and Dylan has cleaned out the chickens, put the ram in the field with the ewes and spent two hours trying to catch a suspected rat that has nibbled his sausages"<laugh>

Something worse, Mike of Borrowash!!
See my last message on the Doomsday thread.
No wonder I don't win any Maths prizes that Dylan awards.
I am not 70 and a half on 23 Dec 2012. I won't be until 23 Jan 2013. Aaaaargghhh!!! I might never make it without Jaqu's help now.

I think the best part of Dylans programme is when its over and he does a news report for the Breakfast programme, I enjoy Dylans news reports but he should never be allowed to present a whole programme to an unsuspecting public.

Hi Passive,
You should have noticed that Dylan's ' 5 to 6a.m. Barmy Army' appears to increase every morning. Once he has got his grips into us, we cannot get away. Nor do we want to.
Just been listening to Maria Richmond on BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
Not under the best circumstances, but who else could report better on the traffic situation during the current weather conditions.

Dear Avid,

Oh you make me giggle!!!! Big Brother?? Dylan?? What with his known passion for politics, his admirable stance on all things green, and his love of the outdoors, I give him 2 days before he tries to scale the walls *lol*

besides, who would I wake up to in the morning ;0) ........

Ernest,

Is Dylan starting to rail at passing on our mutual "Good Mornings"? I heard your message today, thanks, but our man made a comment that he was not our personal go-between<yikes>

Could this be the beginning of the end of our early morning "chats"<erm>

Dear Amphibious and Ramslad and friends, acquaintances and possible relations in Grimsby,
I have to say that I worry that Dylan is trying to give in his notice by default.
This morning, not during the East Midlands portion of his programme, he decided to test the BBC Radio Lincolnshire complaints procedure. If I was the only listener, then he may be off the hook!
As Dylan is the self-appointed President of the Dylan Roys Fan Club, I was surprised that he did not wish to act as go-between for his club members.
I may have to tear up my membership card if and when it ever arrives.;)

And, to be topical, Amphibious. I would bet that when Dylan is evicted from Big Brother, they will not allow crowds outside for him either!!<whistle>

P.P.S.
Is that really 'tea-lady Barbara' on the BBC Lincolnshire website's page of Newreaders' photos.
She looks too good for making tea for Dylan Roys.
On your knees, Dylan!!<steam> If you don't have time to make the tea at work, bring in a flask and pour out a cup for the young lady, please.

Avid my dear, I'm assured that Dylan makes a grand cup of "rosie lee" in the morning - indeed I'm confident any lady would be honoured to have a cup made by him...but I'm not sure that we could wait the time it would take for him to get up off his knees first ;0)

Amphibious, this intimate knowledge that you have of Dylan is quite exciting.
Could you please tell me how many sugars he has, to confirm this vast knowledge you hold is indeed valid.
