i agree, but i would not say you were all open mindeed!spike does not want hetrosexuals in the gay bars?

i dont usually care for statistics, but on reflection i wonder what part of society really feel bothered for you sexual orientation?and im also wondering what is in your experience the general age of your tormenters.is it just the old or boozed up people,if it is then the old are so deep rooted in there ways that to try to change them would be near on impossible, and if it is the boozed up yobs that you normally experience trouble from most of that would just be about booze.

or are we really trying to tackle the real and proper homophobes around us in society,if that's the case then the problem is theres and not your's in a sense(i hope im kind of putting this in the correct way)

there are some blacks that dont like whites, and there are some whites that dont like blacks, there are some that dont like people who are different and the are loads of other connetations you could put up in argument.

what has clearly been demonstrated here is that if and when i ever go into another gay bar, will i treat the friendliness of the people as genuine?or will i take it with a pinch of salt knowing that in fact they do not actually want me there, you talked about changing attitudes to gay people and so far you have succeded in changing one(mine),i dont mean that in the sense that i am now a hater of gays's far from it,i am now starting to think that in the late nineties when i used to go to gay bars with friends strait and gay,was i really seen not as that ok person, but as a person who is strait and should not be there because he is strait.

Society has changed since the mid nineties. Gay rights have advanced legally bigtime but socially it is my opinion that this advance in legal rights has resulted in a blacklash becuase I believe that heterosexuals see homosexuals as inferior with many seeing CP and the like as nothing more than political correctness rather than society welcoming a minority into its world. After all, homosexuals are the only section of society that can be hassled and disrespected with impunity. All other sections of society have that basic level of respect but homosexuals do not which is why heterosexuals have the ability to treat us with whatever comtempt they see fit and one such example is going into gay spaces and disrespecting them.

Awww norant, id take you clubbing :)

Of course no one is showing you false freindlyness, have you ever know a gay person not to drop a bitchy comment at the apt moment ?

This is a difficult debate. As i have said i see both sides of the story. I tell you some gay clubs shall and always be gay, there is no way in hell that you would go in or even want to. You would be disgusted and definatley offended, even i would. But thats a different club all together LOL

I dont mind straight people in gay clubs, far from it, taken my friends before, just aslong as the balance is predominatley gay becuase afterall straight people dont make a gay club, gay people do.

Some people are bothered by our orientation, maybe they have sexuality issues, maybe there looking for soft targets, look at JOP for instance, harmless snake with venom breath. Some people just target gay people to feel big... who knows why but they do exist and are very real.

I would love an all equal society, but its just not going to happen anytime soon.

Indeed, that is so correct. There will never be a time when homosexuals are considered in any way to be equal to heterosexuals. hets will always see homosexuals as inferior at best and morally and socially wrong at worst.

I can assure you, for me it was not a choice and that is the same for everyone I know who is gay or lesbian. I find it difficult to believe that someone who is likely to have suffered irrational, unfair discrimination in their life would inflict such a thing on someone else. You're clearly just a bully and a stupid one at that.

Well some people still think being black is a crime. Does that mean they can be racists ?
