Should there be a minutes silence at Football matches?

Not at all. It will be a mixture of genuine rejoicing and reflection. She brutally brought the Unions into line but otherwise desrtoyed and distorted the society she denied existed and created a selfish money orientated community that has taken decades to rebalance. I wish the old crone no personal misfortune but the attempt to beatify her is sillier even than the mindless response to the less timely death of Diana. It will nonetheless pose a stategic problem for the New Tories who have spent the last few months pretending she never existed.

Are there reliable rumours? Is it imminent? Will the church bells peal? Will the right wing Beeb bring programmes to a halt bring on the black ties and play solemn music?

The Falklands Debacle, Westland, her support for Aparteid South Africa, the politicisation of the police, selling off school playing fields, adulterous and dishonest members of cabinet and that awful snarl demonstrated on spitting image. Its difficult to remember her sympathetically. I doubt anyone would interupt the pre-match chanting for a minutes reflection about her.

Why open all these separate files for every county? Why not just tag the board to as many as you like?

Thatcher? Dead? Rejoice! Rejoice! That cow did more harm to the industrial base of this country than Adolf Hitler ever did. She decimated it just so that her husband and a few of his cronies could make millions out of the hardship that was inflicted on millions of people. But the biggest scandal was the impotence and indifference shown by Neil Kinnock, the leader of the Labour Party. The party of the working man, created by the working man to help protect the working man. He just sat back and allowed Thatcher to ruin whole swathes of the country. If ever the working people of this country needed the help of the party they created, it was then. But Kinnock just climbed to the top, then pulled the ladder from under him. The ladder that had been put there by all the people he eventually betrayed and failed to support. No wonder Thatcher got away it. When she pegs out, I for one will be celebrating big time. I hope everyone else does too.

Will she be regarded as worse than George Bush? Apart from the Belgrano she wasn't invovled in as much unnecessary killing.I'm up for a one off bank holiday to mark her passing.

Why not make it an annual bank holiday

Why not exchange the Nelson statue .for a statue of THATCHER.with the St Georges Flag held in her Right hand on a very straight flag pole must not be bent. and give all the Labour Party supporters a week's holiday to get over their sad grief without pay of course. in the Falkaland's they have what is called ''THATCHER'S DAY''. so why not have one in England. Scotland. Northern Ireland and let's not forget Wales. and it should be done on BLAIR'S BIRTHDAY. when the TORY PARTY wins the next General Election in about 3 years time.

As much as I disliked this woman, as a woman, she did at least crush the stranglehold the Unions had on this poor benighted country in the 60' and 70's. If you are under say 60/65 you won't understand but the reason you all are so well off these days is due to Maggie. PS What man would have dared to fight the Argentinians from 8,000 miles away, they bargained on that but not Maggie?
