When you register with Comedy Soup you automatically get a personal space. This is your space on Comedy Soup.
What is personal space?
Personal space is an area on Comedy Soup devoted to you. Don't let it go to your head. With your personal space you can:
- Tell other users about yourself in your profile
- Keep a track of the progress of material you've submitted before it's approved and published.
- List all the top comedy you've put up on the site in your Portfolio.
What can I put in my profile and how do I edit it?
This is your space to tell the world about yourself, so you can put whatever you like, whether it be where you grew up, comedy stuff you've done or your favourite dessert. Give us a straight biog, or go for something a little more cryptic. It's up to you.
If you want to add to or change your profile, click on 'Edit my profile' on your personal space page. It will take you to a form you can fill in. You can preview what you've written before you send it.
You can update your profile whenever you like.
What is the submissions log for?
When you submit a piece of work for Comedy Soup, it doesn't go up straightaway, as we have to check that it's not breaking any of our copyright or taste and decency rules.
To make this process a little less painful, the submissions log allows you to see how your comedy thing is doing. The log will show you that we've received it and that it's being moderated. Only you can see this list - it's not visible to other members.
What goes in the Portfolio?
Everything you make that goes up on Comedy Soup will be here. It's a record of all your work, which will allow other users to see exactly what you've been up to.
So if someone likes one of your pieces, they can click on your name and come to this page to find more of your work.
Your portfolio is divided by media type - video and animations, audio and images. Your programme challenge entries are also listed.
