modern thought by david shrigley
to access audio and video on collective you need real player.
Who is David Shrigley? He's a great artist who makes twisted lo-fi drawings, sculptures and other bits. They're often amusing but can also be dark and difficult. He lives in Glasgow where he went to art school. Since then he's made a name for himself with books and postcards, and by appearing in 2000's Beck's Futures, among loads of other things.
Modern Thought is his first commission for a series of animations, so we're really chuffed to have him on Collective.
David Shrigley recommends
"At the moment I very much like Tal R who is showing in the Saatchi show. I have been listening to We Shall All Be Healed by The Mountain Goats (who I saw in Glasgow last weekend) and have just finished reading Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates (depressing but great)."
