Some of you peeps may recall that I mentioned I was DJing at a Hallowe'en party. This, dear readers, is how it went...

Rather well, all in all. I've played in public a couple of times before (couple of years back now), but using twin CD players, so it doesn't really count as DJing. This time, I was playing Technics with a DJM600. So, a mixing, vinyl only set, in a bar, as a debut public appearance. I was bricking it. All was well after the second or third record in and then I just got into it and enjoyed it. Nothing embarassing happened- I didn't knock the needles, mix to the wrong deck or leave the fader open when cueing.

I've been asked back. It won't be until March next year (it's a fortnightly do, but they're booked up until Q1 next year).

If anyone's interested in what I played, I can give you the lowdown. Not holding my breath though- I'm pretty sure I'm the only one here that's into breakbeat.
