New Collective Editor Hello
I'm Sarah and I was a Collective Editor for a couple of months over the summer but I've now gone back to my day job at BBC Radio 6 Music, where I've worked on shows presented by Andrew Collins, Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson and rock god Bruce Dickinson.
I'm also a music and film journalist - my writing has appeared in Heat, Q and Word magazines and I review films on the radio too.
You can probably tell from my chosen career that I'm a big music fan. It would take too long to list all the music I'm into, but the CDs that are occupying my stereo most at the moment include albums by Hope Of The States, Ulrich Schnauss, The Album Leaf, Sun Kil Moon, Snow Patrol, Pixies, PJ Harvey, Mylo, Death Cab For Cutie, Electrelane, The Magnetic Fields, The Dears and Cat Power. And I love Blur - always have, always will.
I'm also addicted to going to the cinema. I like films about strange or troubled people, which tend to emanate from the American indie cinema scene. My favourite films of the past year are All The Real Girls, Spellbound, Lost In Translation, 21 Grams, The Station Agent, Pieces Of April, Laurel Canyon, School Of Rock, Love Liza, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Before Sunset, The Motorcycle Diaries, Last Life In The Universe and The Saddest Music In The World.
So, that's me. Feel free to comment and converse.
