Writing and taking photos for a living is pretty much the jammiest job you
can get isn't it? Actually, it's the jammiest TWO jobs you can get, which
makes me Double-Lucky.
Sometimes i feel Double-Lucky but that's ony when i'm not tearing my hair
out trying to meet perilously tight deadlines.
Anyway, the kind people who have accepted my words and images so far include
The Face, The Independent, Sleazenation, The Wire, Dazed and Confused, DJ,
IDJ, Knowledge, Muzik, Hip Hop Connection, XLR8R, Touch, Urb, Global Rhythm,
Seven, Dotmusic, Amazon and of course the lovely BBC Collective.
I have also written two books recently - Waking Up In Iceland (a
comprehensive overview of the Icelandic music scene) and the Sullivan's
Music Trivia, which is full of interesting vignettes and fascinating
factoids about all kinds of music from opera to hip hop. It even gives
helpful step-by-step instructions on how to play the triangle, the saw and
the gong.
