Well, that went by quickly. It doesn't seem a long time since I was writing about getting married and leaving for Singapore (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/F?thread=33230... ) and now here I am, getting ready to leave my big adventure behind. I leave here on the 27th December, then will wonder around Australia and Asia for a few weeks, then arrive back on the sandy shores of England once again. I'll bring exotic spices and so on for the Queen. Maybe.

It's been amazing, too. Loads of fun, met some great people, and got a nice little look into life in somewhere other than the UK. Still, it's time to wind down, and pack up the important stuff from our flat. The landlord can remove the occasional pennies that will be left behind on the shelf.

Big adventures still to come though - like buying a house, and learning to fix things. Also, I'm looking forward to paying three times as much for everything.

Oh wait. Damn.

Still, looking forward to seeing the rolling English countryside again, and being able to buy Quavers, as well as a good block of Wensleydale. Not to mention the staple of my childhood, an authentic Cornish Pasty. And the feeling of being in a nice warm house when it's cold outside. And how everyone drives so politely.
