comment by halfacat Apr 30, 2005How about just plain mp3's?
Common you guys get this together. You talk the talk now walk the walk. Quit telling me how great this podcasting stuff is and make it a reality.
Real Player sucks!!!!!!
Sorry for the bluntness, but I am getting really tired of the stops and restarts that I always get when listening to your shows. I am in the US so I may not be supporting you financially, but I tell everyone about how great you are. =)
comment by rowan May 3, 2005Well there are some things being podcast - http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/sto... - it's not easy to get clearance for podcasting things I'm afraid, as it's downloading rather than streaming - however, fingers crossed for one day.
comment by lawyergill May 3, 2005Personally I'd love to have the Archers and the afternoon plays in an mp3 downloadable format so that I can listen to them away from my computer/radio (yes there are such places in the world!!)
comment by David Thair May 3, 2005Up its sleevies!
comment by markingloucester May 8, 2005I second that. At present the only way I can download anything is by recording the whole program using an audio recorder, transferring it to a SD card and then listen to it on my PDA while travelling in the car. Come on the BBC, give us some downloads, please, please please.
comment by PietNL May 9, 2005It finally has arrived (although limited at the moment):
I've got the software, I've read the instructions but CANNOT get any BBC test podcast feeds to work.
What am i doing wrong???????
Can't find them on any of the links supplied as "avaialble downloads/podcasts"
Can't find them on any of the links supplied as "available downloads/podcasts"
comment by jaytype May 16, 2005there's gonna be a staggered roll out commencing today with podcast feeds becoming available after the broadcast of the listed shows this week...
...first up, Radio 4's Today Programme 8:10 interview and 1Xtra's TX UnLtd documentary:
(In Our Time & Fighting Talk are already available from the first stage of the trial but will be having their feed paths updated whilst the infrastructure gets shuffled around a bit - if you're already subscribed hopefully the htaccess redirects will keep you sub'd)
comment by iandstanley Sep 28, 2005It would probably be the first Podcast Soap.
Also I would like to see some of the vintage comedy of radio 7 and some regulars eg ISIHAC
comment by Onyertod Oct 11, 2005Check out the tasty selection of podcasts available from the down under colonial cousin of the BBC,
Come on BBC, dont let the Aussies win the Podcasting ashes!
