New Zealand rockers The D4 are getting around a bit.

Fresh from supporting the BellRays and a quick jaunt across the Irish Sea for a tour of the Emerald Isle, The D4 have got four more dates in the UK before heading back down under.

The Aucklanders have been playing in NZ since 1998 but their debut album 6TWENTY only hit the shelves over here recently. A rough mixture of garage punk and grungy blues, they’ve definitely got the sound of now.

Their Hives-esque high octane rock ‘n’ roll has turned a few heads in recent weeks, and although I haven’t seen them personally I’ve heard good things. Might be worth checking them out this time round. You never know, when they return to our shores they might be the next big thing. MW 26 September 02
