Second album for Doves, another great effort. Recently nominated for a Mercury Music prize award (which, sadly, they didn't win) this album contains the singles, "There goes the Fear", "Pounding" and "Down by the River" which are all excellent tracks. There is a much more vibrant feel to this album than their first album (Lost Souls) and as a result it's a much better album. Other stand out tracks for me include, "Fridays Dust", "M62 Song" and "Words". None of the songs on the album could be classed as "Fillers", they are all worthy of their place on what is a great album.
