Norwegian chill-out kings re-release Melody AM on the back of THAT advert. And we've got some videos. So then, Röyksopp's Melody AM has finally entered the public consciousness, mainly due to some scary-looking infant on a certain mobile ad. And of course the record company, in their infinite wisdom, has decided that now would be a damn good time to slap on a new cover and re-release it. Whatever you may think about this tactic, it's still a very good album for winding down after a big night or sticking on on a Sunday morning. Full of the kind of downbeat electronica that gets made by people who spend a lot of time bathed in Northern Lights, watching Nordic cinema and listening to electronic soul funk - if you see what I mean. Eple, Remind Me and Poor Leno are the singles and standout tracks (So Easy is the one off the ad, if you're wondering) and we've got the videos for you to watch. So kick back and let that Norwegian charm wash over you. MW 22 August 02 Melody AM, re-released 26 August 2002 on Wall Of Sound.
