Bigmouth strikes again. Inspired by Portishead and co-produced by cool composer Jon Brion, West returns with another epic soundtrack of swelling soul and absurdly ace drums. Gold-Digga sees Slow Jamz singer Jamie Foxx re-sing Ray Charles samples, the politically subversive Crack Music borrows the Game for some Public Enemy-style posturing, while Brandy really lets rip on the eye-bleeding beats of Bring Me Down. Seemingly sidestepping any sign of second album syndrome, rap’s self-professed Louis Vuitton Don returns with a record that not only lives up to his debut, but quite possibly surpasses it. Kanye West - Late Registration, released 22 August 05 on Rocafella.

Album of the year so far, without doubt! "College Dropout" was a hard act to follow up and I had my doubts about whether he could come up with the goods again, but he has certainly not disapointed. Some great colaborations on there including Common, whose album "Be" is amazing. Game appears on the song "Crack Music", however i was a little disapointed he played such a small part, would have liked him to have done a verse at least.Probably too early yet to chose a favourite song, but "Touch The Sky", "Addiction" and the "Diamonds" remix with Jay are quality.

Not heard the album yet but Gold Digga is the best rap track i've heard since the Jigga Man left the building.
