Soft Bulletin - The Flaming Lips

Prog Rock anyone?
Soft Bulletin – The Flaming Lips (Warner Bros. Records, released 17May 1999)

Opening tracks often make or break the CD you’re about to listen to- Upon starting Soft Bulletin- you’re instantly whisked off into the universe the Flaming Lips have created. The musical journey that ensues is nothing short of imaginary genius- simple as. Usually I’m not one to be sucked into trendy fads, and when this was first released I wasn’t compelled to buy. Hindsight is a bitch. Anyhow, a CD revealing an Epic storyline and a musical experience that is a sonic treat- you’ll not go far wrong if you’ve an open mind and want something a bit different to listen to. An absolute peche.
Credits: Race For The Prize, Big Drums, Waitin’ For A Superman, A Spoonful Weighs A Ton. And then there’s Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots…
