Now then, here’s some proper psych rock straight outta Sweden that’ll tap straight into your head and body. The third LP from the young, multi-talented multi-instrumentalist Gustav Estjes, Ta Det Lugnt (trans. Take It Easy), is primal forest music that combines psychedelia, folk and pop to make one spellbinding, hook-laden trip. Like The Creation in the 60s or seeing Zep freak in a dive bar, this is badass realness - beautiful, pounding and poetic. Even though it’s all sung in Swedish. Ace.
