![]() the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy
It’s here at last. Don’t Panic. The film of Douglas Adams’ cult radio play turned series of novels, turned TV series, is by and large a worthy addition to the oeuvre. This is the Rough Guide to the Galaxy with Arthur Dent and co whizzing around the universe searching for the ultimate answer, and question, like there’s no tomorrow. Throwing in a romance between Trillian (Zooey Deschanel) and Arthur (Martin Freeman) only adds to the chaos, as well as the frowns of the traditionalists. The relentless pace and cluttered structure packs a mighty punch, although it’s all occasionally overblown at the cost of character development. All in all: 42. The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, on national release 29 April 05.
