super furry animals

Super furry animals @ radio 1 tent reading festival.
When your one of 5000 squashed into a tent in the middle of a field in reading half covered in beer from the learing drunk man behind you, bursting for the toilet because you haven’t been able to face the port a loo situation, you begin to question your sanity. Suddenly Super Furry Animals don’t seem that super, after all there only another band, you can probably catch them back home, and then they come on stage and you mentally slap yourself for being so god damn weak.
Pounding, rhythmic and melodic, the supers are a breath of fresh air in this very smelly tent. The straw in sweet again and the drunk man is suddenly endearing.
Probably one of the best acts of the day they were up against I believe Morrissie main stage and the crowed was still jam packed jumping up and down.
Feel good fun and better than a hot shower (and I needed one) the animals really are just that. Hard core musicians with animalistic ability to sniff out a catchy chorus line.
I was sad to sneak out before the end to beat the rush for the flushable arena loos!
