Jacuzzi hip-hop from LA. It’s fair to say that LA duo, Ammoncontact, don’t come out all guns blazing. On first listen, One In An... feels like an exercise in pushing the boundaries of tedium: bone-dry instrumental hip-hop, minimalist grooves, few vocal interludes. But given time, a different picture emerges: the beats snap, the melodies crackle and your synapses go pop as the ripples begin, with tunes like Healing Vibrations and the mechanical funk of Keepintime bubbling like a jacuzzi. An album to chill and thrill to. Ammoncontact - One In An Infinity Of Ways, released 01 November 04 on Ninja Tune.
