Manicured pop from Bristol. Need more weightless, manicured pop sounds in your life? Then look no further than Bristol-based band Bronze Age Fox who, having squeezed their sprightly music out via labels like Melodic and Wichita, now present a collection of records previously released on their own Bagatelle imprint. The songs here are so insouciant it seems they might drift away on the breeze at any moment. Thankfully, though, they’re anchored by compelling storytelling, melodies that stay the right side of fey and the occasional delightful burst of angsty zeal. Endlessly charming. Bronze Age Fox - Bronze Age Fox, released 27 September 04 on Bagatelle.
