Inspired by the state where he grew up, Philadelphia-based beatmaker Diplo invites us to a hip-hop voodoo ceremony. Here he stirs beats, post-rock guitars and eerie atmospherics into a brew which bubbles with psychedelic psychosis. Light does occasionally penetrate this murky world in the form of Diplo Rhythm’s weird digital dancehall or Martina Topley-Bird’s serene vocals on Into The Sun.
