Sharp talk from Dylan Mills. The most resounding Bow export since the East London district’s bells reverberated through the UK’s rhyme-hungry conscience, Dylan Mills stepped out of his locality’s grime scene to floor all and sundry with his chiming sharp talk. His follow up to Boy In Da Corner continues the momentum, the sonics beefed up with booty bass flourishes and jungle rumbles, all topped off by piss-takes of fame, as opposed to big-balled boorish success chat, à la bling. If anyone figured Dizzee might water it down, Showtime is proof that he’s taken it all in his stride to return, spitting with added vim and venom.Dizzee Rascal – Showtime, released 06 September 04 on XL Recordings.
