Tall tales from the underground.

More stories from the shaggiest dog in London as he goes sniffing amid the detritus of the underground. Rob Gallagher roots through dub, hip-hop and electro for his beats but, as ever, it’s his meandering half-sung stories which are the best part of this urban myth-making. BSE and Who Killed Saturday Night? are seasoned with the observational humour he honed on Escape From Ibiza, and all his musings have a surreal glow that comes from watching the world through a fog of particularly fragrant smoke. Call him Jackanory The Lad.

Paul Clarke 13 August 04 rating of 3 and 1/2
Earl Zinger - Speaker Stack Commandments, released 16 August 04 on !K7 Records.
