Sumptuous songs from San Diego, via Iceland.

San Diego native Jimmy Lavalle has been tinkering with instrumental electronic soundscapes as The Album Leaf for five years now, but for his third album he decided to broaden his horizons and accept an invitation from Icelandic bands Sigur Rós and Múm to record with them in their Mosfellsbaer studio. The result is a more song-based collection, a sumptuous hybrid of warm electronic sounds and mesmerisingly beautiful orchestral post-rock. Music to make your spine tingle and your heart swell.
