 to access audio and video on collective you need real player.No soul orchestra but still plenty of soul. You don’t need the lyrics of Use What You Got to tell you that Will Holland is green-fingered, for the homegrown funk of his third album almost makes your stereo photosynthesise in the sunshine. Tracks like Don’t Joke With A Hungry Man – which sounds like Northern Soul in a South Louisiana swamp - have clearly been fertilised by the atmosphere at his Quantic Soul Orchestra gigs. But pretty much everything he plants, from the gently horn-led title track to Perception’s jovial drum’n’bass, comes up smelling of roses.
